Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) is a computing paradigm that exploits both web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) as fundamental elements for developing software systems. It changes the way software systems are designed, architected, delivered and consumed. Moreover, it has emerged as a major trend of computing paradigm in the past few years.
The Fourth IEEE International Symposium on Service-Oriented System Engineering (SOSE 2008) intends to provide a forum for researchers to exchange latest findings, results, and visions in Service-Oriented Computing. Continuing the tradition of the past SOSE Symposiums, SOSE'08 covers a wide range of topics related to techniques to explore state-of-the-art in modeling, assembly, deployment and management of SOC related methods, tools and technologies.
SOSE 2008 invites original contributions in all areas of Service-Oriented Computing. The topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
I. Service-Oriented System Engineering
II. Service-Oriented Applications
In addition, the following invited sessions are being planned:
| Paper submission deadline: | |
| Notification of Acceptance: | September 1, 2008 |
| Camera Ready Copy Due: | September 24, 2008 |
| Symposium: | December 18-19, 2008 |
Original, previously unpublished technical papers are welcome. We also encourage work-in-progress reports on new problems and novel ideas. Please submit papers in PDF format through the submission web site: http://sose2008.ncu.edu.tw/openconf/openconf.php.
Manuscript should be prepared following the IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines (http://www.computer.org/portal/pages/cscps/cps/cps_forms.html, Two-Column Format). Manuscript length is limited to 6 pages.
All papers will be evaluated based on the relevance, significance, originality, clarity, and technical merit. All accepted papers will be included in the symposium proceedings, which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press. At least one author of each accepted paper must attend the symposium to present the work.
